The Role of Air Traffic Controller in the Cirrus Tragedy at William P. Hobby Airport

Just now I saw a video that was uploaded by Air Safety Institute. I feel sorry for the three people who died in that tragedy, particularly feeling sorry for the female pilot who was at complete peace and calm till the last moments even though she was burdened by air traffic controllers with frequent instructions throwing her all around at the airport. The elaboration detailed by the Air Safety Institute mostly blaming the pilot for the tragedy forced me to write this article. We may agree that in most cases we blame the pilot for any incident or accident. The elaboration given by ASI is quite sorted, but the thing I didn’t like in here is that the first culprit here is found to be the private pilot who had minimal amount of flying experience. It is easy to blame the pilot for not being alive to fight for her case and everyone else involved in the tragedy, particularly the ATC who want to save their jobs and reputation.  What I didn’t like was the cirrus private pilot was as...

Wild Wild Punjab Take You on a Wild Drive with a Bitter Lesson for Heartbreakers

On Saturday weekend, me and my wife watched the movie Wild Wild Punjab..

The name kind of resemble Wild Wild West that was starred by Will Smith few years back.

It was my decision to watch this movie. After a long time, I decided to watch a Hindi movie.

It is not a completely Hindi movie, rather a mix of both Hindi and Punjabi. The creator of the movie made a sensible choice with language to cater to both type of audience.

I must say it is one of the best Hindi movie that I have watched since ages.

The most amazing part was the ending of the movie. It was not a completely good good happy ending, rather an ending that logically should have been as per the storyline.

It is a light hearted comedy movie and yes it can be watched with kids for except for few double meaning humor, the movie overall runs smoothly.

The fact that kids of today's age knows everything, there is nothing in the movie that can be said outwordly.

Varun Sharma has acted well, even though, I have watched his movie for the first time.

The climax scene between Varun Sharma and Asheema Vardaan said it all.

I thank the director Simarpreet Singh for having such climax. It is a lesson for all those who ditch true love for money and promotion in their career.

It is quite daring from the director that it was decided to show a bitter lesson in the climax rather than a happy ending.

Asheema Vardaan looked hot in the pink wedding gown, unfortunately the character played by her let her down.

Virgin Reviews - My 20 Years Journey on Bajaj Platina, Bajaj Discover and Now Honda Unicorn

I see very few Honda Unicorn these days in the Chandigarh area. Which is bit surprising as at present and Arguable Honda is dominating the two wheelers market in India. Both its scooters and motorcycles are selling like hot cakes. If not more, as per my observation at least 50% of the total two wheelers market is captured by Honda. This I am saying without reading any stats. I have observed that Honda Unicorn is the least seen motorcycle in Punjab and Chandigarh area. Among all the two wheelers that are made by Honda motorcycles company, I guess and as per my observance, Honda Unicorn is the least sold one. Ever since I saw the Honda Unicorn motorcycle, that was roughly 20 years back, I had fallen in love with it. This love was admiration-from-a-distance kind of only, because this motorcycle had been little over my budget ever since it came out. Our being a lower middle class family, we were only able to afford a platina motorcycle, that is easy to purchase and easy to maintain with hi...

The Khyber Hotel, Shri Anandpur Sahib Review: Food, Ambience, and Service

It was another dining out date with my wife a few days back. Just like on many other occasions we decided to try out something new. Thankfully there are many new options to dine out in Shri Anandpur Sahib now, although, not every is to our liking. Attention, we said not to our liking, we did not say not to our standard, for every eating out restaurant in Anandpur Sahib is unique in its own way. Last time, when we dined out at Roots Restaurant at Shri Anandpur Sahib we were a little disappointed.  I wrote a complete article on our experience at Roots Restaurant which you can read by clicking on the link given below So, this time The Khyber Hotel came under our scanner, and boy it was a complete delight to be there. Just like the majority of the American and Canadian commercial outlets, Indian concerns too have also started erecting such sign boards which notify the presence of a facility from a long distance. The Khyber Hotel, as the road side glow sign signifies, has a party hall, ...

The UK Immigration Embracing eVisa While Mitigating Technical Risks

Technology always breathes new life into a system and alters our way of working. However, it takes time and numerous changes to make a technology foolproof. Those who have lived the time computers came must be familiar with it. Technology change is something that we complain about today, but we thank later. A new move by the UK can be seen as the dawn of a new era and may see the same transition. When everything is going digital why should the immigration process be left behind? The UK government is currently busy putting in place a completely digital immigration system. This means those applying for immigration to the UK will not see the paper documents like a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) but will see the electronic records of the immigration status, or eVisa . The goal of the Home Office is to make the system work on its own with minimal to no paper usage by the end of 2024, according to the Home Office Digital, Data and Technology Strategy 2024 . This is not a new thing, a...
