An ILS Approach After 14 Years – A Journey Through Time and Skills

Shooting an ILS approach after 14 years. It was on Microsoft flight simulator, but it was worth knowing, it was consoling to know that I still know the things. I decided to fly out from Lakefront airport, as I was familiar with the environment. I decided to fly out to Gulfport airport which is just over 50 nautical miles from Lakefront airport at New Orleans. It was the flight path which was flown by me when I did my first cross-country flight. I asked for an IFR clearance and it was given as cleared for Gulfport airport as filed asking me to climb to 3000 feet. I was on runways 18R and decided to keep the climate foggy to get a real feel of using the ILS approach. I put in the throttle and climbed out, after a positive rate of climb I made a left turn to 067 degrees. The GPS showed that the airport was 54 NM from here. Since it was all white outside there was not anything to look around except to track the instruments. It was easy to maintain the altitude however, it was difficu...

NAFSA: A Beacon of Opportunity for International Educators and Students

Aspiring international students, education providers and immigration professionals will come together on one platform, NAFSA 2024. Ideas will be shared and discussed on how to create opportunities for everyone. Here we take a look at NAFSA and what it has on the table for everyone.

The nexus between international education seekers, providers, and immigration professionals is almost a century old. The benefits this gamut provides each other are innumerable. It is important that these parties should come together often to become familiar with each other’s desires and wants. Here is a platform that has been servicing this purpose for quite a while.

The countdown has begun! The premier event for international educators, the NAFSA 2024 Annual Conference and Expo is all set and ready for an annual gathering. It is an opportunity for educators, students and immigration professionals to learn, connect, and shape the future of international education. As an immigration consultant, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of NAFSA for students looking for international education experience.

A Legacy of Empowering Students

For a long, NAFSA has successfully empowered students to achieve their dream of pursuing education across borders. To say the least, NAFSA has been a one-stop solution to all the requirements of students planning to study abroad. Students get a diverse array of institutions to choose from, including innovative colleges, prestigious universities, and specialised institutions. With so many options available, it is easy to find the perfect fit that suits the academic aspirations of students.

This platform enables students to connect with representatives from admissions offices, and immigration experts. The one-on-one guidance offered here turns out to be highly beneficial for students to navigate through the application process with greater clarity and confidence.

Building a Global Network and Demystifying Immigration Procedures

NAFSA facilitates the perfect amalgamation of international educators and students, both sides trying to benefit from the other. Students get the chance to create a strong support network which can be highly beneficial when they pursue education in their dream country.

A plethora of sessions and workshops specially designed to address student visa concerns are offered by NAFSA. Practical advice and resources are provided by immigration consultants, helping students to navigate the visa process smoothly and avoid common pitfalls.

What to Expect in NAFSA 2024?

This year’s conference promises exciting opportunities for educators and students alike as it is based on the theme “Resilience, Renewal, Community.” International education is a rapidly changing world and the sessions will explore strategies to navigate the complexities. It will explore options on how to thrive in a globalised educational landscape, adapt to new environments, and overcome challenges.

Students will discover new learning methods, programme offerings, and support services that will improve their academic experience. Students will have the opportunity to participate in interactive events and workshops, forging lifelong connections and fostering international understanding. The conference will organise discussions on innovative approaches to international education.

A Lasting Impact Beyond the Conference

NAFSA improves the chances of admission for students by sharing valuable insights and application strategies. The probability of securing a place in the dream institution improves significantly. Students aspiring to embark on a journey of cultural immersion, self-discovery, and global citizenship will benefit considerably by participating in the NAFSA conference.

The Promise of a Life-Changing Experience

NAFSA 2024 promises to be a pivotal event for aspiring students and international educators. Attending the conference can be a life-changing experience for all the parties involved. As an immigration consultant, it is my suggestion to students to attend and experience the immense value offered by NAFSA.

Virgin Reviews - My 20 Years Journey on Bajaj Platina, Bajaj Discover and Now Honda Unicorn

I see very few Honda Unicorn these days in the Chandigarh area. Which is bit surprising as at present and Arguable Honda is dominating the two wheelers market in India. Both its scooters and motorcycles are selling like hot cakes. If not more, as per my observation at least 50% of the total two wheelers market is captured by Honda. This I am saying without reading any stats. I have observed that Honda Unicorn is the least seen motorcycle in Punjab and Chandigarh area. Among all the two wheelers that are made by Honda motorcycles company, I guess and as per my observance, Honda Unicorn is the least sold one. Ever since I saw the Honda Unicorn motorcycle, that was roughly 20 years back, I had fallen in love with it. This love was admiration-from-a-distance kind of only, because this motorcycle had been little over my budget ever since it came out. Our being a lower middle class family, we were only able to afford a platina motorcycle, that is easy to purchase and easy to maintain with hi...

Unseen Scars of COVID-19 that Shaped my Life

COVID-19 has not only uprooted economies, but also destroyed individuals both financially and healthwise. My daily routine was brought to a standstill during the second wave of the pandemic, as the notorious disease caught me. But even as the symptoms subsided, the lingering effect of the virus has been disrupting my life. Here I talk about my journey that went through the post-covid recovery and how it reshaped my thinking of health both mentally and physically. After being a victim of corona a lot of things have changed in my body and in my thoughts. I was still working in a college near Chandigarh, when, one early morning while riding towards my work I felt that something was just not right with me. By the time I reached the hostel room of the college, I was just not feeling the energy to move ahead. This happened during the second wave of the pandemic. Private colleges had partially opened and they had allowed some essential staff to stay within the hostel and look after dail...
